Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Program

The Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Program is designed to support child  victims of sexual abuse, molestation or incest during the healing process and strengthen the family support system.

The Child Sexual Abuse Treatment Program provides services to children and adolescents ages 3 – 17 that have been recent victims of sexual abuse and reside in Isabella or Clare Counties and surrounding areas.

The Program offers services from the point of disclosure through the legal process, to termination and follow-up. Services include assessment, consultation, counseling that is focused and time-limited, emotional support and referral for abused children and their families.

The program is staffed by Master’s level Therapists who have the knowledge and skills to assess and address the needs of child victims of sexual abuse. Therapists have a strong background in child development, family functioning, and collaborative services.

Children enter the program via a referral by a Protective Services worker at the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS), the police department, the court system, other community agencies, or by self-referral.  Hours are flexible to meet the needs of families served. There are no consumer fees for services.

Regular business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evening hours are available by appointment to accommodate work and school schedules.  On-call staff are available 24 hours every day to respond to crisis and emergencies.

You may call yourself or be referred by a friend, relative, your school, or any community agency. Listening Ear has established a Child Sexual Abuse endowment fund to help ensure the program’s long-term viability. Click here to go to the Donations page.
